How Many of Your Blessings Have We Denied? (A food for thought upon pondering the 55th Chapter of the Quran)

If only you knew

How my path has mirrored that of you

Our beloved mothers we let choose and decide

Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?

Allah knows the way our lives had been

These tests in life is a way of Him cleansing our sins

To make ourselves stronger in and out but we are mere humans, so weak inside

Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?

They say you always get what you actually deserve

Isn't it true? If you just carefully observe...

Wishes are not granted when Allah's commands we don't abide

Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?

I feel the rain on my face as I'm walking, hoping no one knows that I'm crying

Thinking of that which has withered and died, those who cherished and those who perished

The signs and messages are clear but yet we deviate, adhering to our desire and lust

Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?

Goodbye, farewell, it has come to the day

It was never meant to be, so just look away, look away

Move on, be strong, stay on guard and put the past aside

Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?

Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?
Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied?
Oh Allah, how many of Your blessings have we denied.....????

What do we have to show You when we finally die.....????

So flee to Allah (from His Torment to His Mercy Islamic Monotheism), verily, I (Muhammad SAW) am a plain warner to you from Him. (51:50)
